Fanshawe College – Fanshawe College is one of the province’s largest colleges. Each year, the college serves more than half-a-million people from four campuses—London, Simcoe, St. Thomas and Woodstock. Many students at the Woodstock campus find affordable, off-campus housing close to school or commute from neighbouring communities.

Conestoga College – Established in 1967, Conestoga College connects students with life and learning. Each year, more than 11,000 full-time and 30,000 part-time students flock to one of Conestoga’s Southwestern Ontario campuses. Among them are Kitchener, Ingersoll, Stratford, Guelph, Waterloo, Brantford and Cambridge, all located a short drive away from Woodstock, Ontario.

McMaster University – McMaster University’s Hamilton campus is situated about an hour’s drive away from Woodstock. The public university is ranked amongst Canada and the world’s top universities. Some students choose to live at home or rent apartments in Woodstock, while commuting for full- and part-time studies at McMaster.

Mohawk College – Woodstock residents need only drive an hour east to Mohawk College, to receive apprenticeship, continuing education, diploma and collaborative degree education.

Nipissing University – Many teacher candidates opt to attend Nipissing University’s Brantford campus, which is a partnered with Laurier Brantford. Students studying to become teachers may obtain a Bachelor of Arts’ degree in Society or Culture and Environment for Laurier Brantford, while achieving a Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University.  

University of Guelph – Just an hour north-east of Woodstock lies the University of Guelph, home to nearly 25,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. It consistently ranks amongst Canada’s best medium-sized universities.

University of Waterloo – University of Waterloo has four nearby campuses for Woodstock residents to choose from—Waterloo, Cambridge, Kitchener and Stratford. The public research university has gained renown for its co-operative education (co-op) programs and consistent top ranking on the world stage.

University of Western Ontario – Since 1878, the University of Western Ontario has served students in and around the London, Ontario region. Today, the university continues to be reputed for its academics, top scholars and Canada’s first French Immersion Program (founded in 1932).

• Wilfrid Laurier University – Wilfrid Laurier University has several campuses across the province, including Toronto, Brantford, and Kitchener. The school also has an overseas location in Chongqing, China. Named in honour of Canada’s seven prime minister, Laurier is home to some 20,000 graduate and undergraduate students.
